Christmas morning

Star Wars!  Our kids are really into all that this year!
Tripp's new work with a sink as he calls it.  It's pretty cute!

Lexie's new art desk!  She said, " I love my new art desk...it's not really the color I wanted, but I love it!"  Ha! (That's because it's the color I wanted)

Christmas at Kay's house

We did our usual and left for Kay's house (which is about a mile away) at 8:10.  Santa showed up at 8:30!  Such a fun tradition!  Brooks was unfortunately already asleep by the time we got there so he's missed Christmas at Aunt Kay's house for two years now!

This is when Santa rang the doorbell!
 Lexie opened the door!
 Lexie letting Santa in!

Santa handed out presents to the kids!

Christmas as Nana and Grandpa's

Now that we are up to ten kids we have to try to get more creative! 8 of the kids are 5 and under!!  Yikes!  So we got a bounce house, chick fil a nugget tray, we did a book exchange game, and tried an unwrap the box game!  It was a great night as usual!

we basically have enough kids to make a little preschool class!  Ha!

almost got them all!  Missing two of the babies...Brooks and Vincent.  Ugh!  So hard!

Fun day!

Today was a fabulous day, but also a bittersweet day. Today I got to meet my niece Hallie for the first time and see Kathy and her family. We all got to spend the day together at Dewberry Farms where we cut down a small tree for the kids. Dan and his family were there as well. It's always such a fun way to kick off the season! I say it's bittersweet because tomorrow will be a sad day for both Dan and Kathy. Patrick will be deploying for 6 months! Wow! This is Kathy's first experience with deployment and Patrick's first deployment as a married man and with two little girls. We are all so very proud of him and his service to our country. There is so much sacrifice in the military. I consider him a true hero. I was explaining him to the kids as a true hero. What an honor to know him and have him as a part of our family. Dan also will be leaving for Russia to work. He will be back in a few weeks though to get his family to move there for the next year. There are lots of changes happening. Pray for them and their families as they adjust... especially since they both have 4 month old babies! Hallie was such a good baby. As you will see, Lillie was not a fan of Santa!
