New years Eve

What a fun time we had out at the country. We spent the night out at our place for the first time, and Jen and her family came as well. The kids all had the best time. Jen brought cake and some little champagne glasses for the kids to drink their juice out of and we had lots of great fireworks. Tripp was so cute riding his new 4 wheeler from Nana and Grandpa. He LOVED that thing! Around 4:00 I was going to start cooking some soup on the stove. I couldn't get the burner to come on. We finally figured out we were out of propane which would mean we wouldn't have heat or hot water, and it was pretty cold out! We figured we would have to just go home and not stay the night being that it was so late in the day and a Friday! We had never dealt with the propane before either so we didn't really know what to do. Well, after Randall and his dad calling around for 20 minutes, we finally found a local guy to come fill our propane tank! He was there within 15 minutes! We were so thankful and so lucky, and we learned a lot about propane! Let's just say we shouldn't ever run out again! The big excitement of our stay was that Braden shot his first deer! We were so surprised because he had everything going against him...cows were around, a propane truck had just driven by as well as randall on a 4 wheeler, he had his dog in the stand with him, and not to mention all the noise we all had been making all day. Plus we hadn't been feeding the deer out there very long and we haven't really seen too many deer. We were so happy for him! Lexie was pretty obsessed with Sophie the whole time. Poor dog! the creek was really flowing Braden and Tripp after waking up The kids dug out and made their own fire pit. SO cute! Chase making booby traps an old well we found... After leaving our place on Saturday, we headed to my parents property for some more fun! We all had a great time hanging around their fire pit, riding 4 wheelers, and popping more fireworks! What a great time! The kids have a new surprise (a fort) waiting for them out at our place from Papa Collum, and we are heading up there tomorrow with some family! They are going to be so excited!
